Holidays.

I haven't blogged in awhile. We've been so busy with the holidays, etc.

Over Thanksgiving weekend we attended my little brothers wedding reception. All six of us siblings were together which doesn't happen very often and created a very busy week!! (Below: Josh and Kiki)

Christmas was less chaotic than Thanksgiving with most of my family not coming for Christmas (as they had all just been here). We spent time with Shane's family. The kids had a great time. They are VERY spoiled by Shane's parents!! It was nice to have the kids home from school for a couple weeks, but it definitely kept me busier! They went back on Monday.

I had another new 6 week old baby start in daycare a week and a half ago. I keep thinking that it should be harder than it is. I think that I am getting used to adding babies to the mix. Or at least as used to it as one can be. Actually all six kids are sleeping at this moment. Amazing, yes. Planned, yes. You think I could handle six kids age 3 and under without a rather strict schedule?? And believe it or not I make sure that they all get good quality one on one time/cuddle time every day. I've been teaching the three 2 and 3 year olds how to play some board games. I love it!

I just finished all four of the Twilight books. Which makes me slightly depressed because I want more fiction to read. I rarely read fiction, but when I do I get sucked in. I may start over and read them all again. They were an incredibly easy read, but that is the point. Sometimes I read kids books to myself just to clear my head. Gotta love "Elephant and Piggie"!! They make me laugh outloud. (Below: My Twilight cookie for Maris)

I've still been getting out in the mornings a few times every week for coffee. It is harder when it is so unbelievably cold, and with the snow.

Colton and Calvin seem to be enjoying school. They know quite a bit of Chinese! Carrera choked on some money the other day and we thought she had swallowed a quarter. We brought her in and the x-ray showed nothing. We found the missing quarter later, but it was still quite a scare. She is two and does not usually put anything in her mouth, but I suppose we all put things in our mouths from time to time. Shane says he is going to quit using the expression "Who put a quarter in you?" I LOVE him!!
